Whatever the forecast, you should bring a waterproof jacket and wear seasonal clothing. For safety reasons, you should wear a hat and a pair of glasses or sunglasses. If you haven't got a pair of chest waders please let me know your foot size and I'll provide them.

If you have your own fishing equipment please feel free to bring it along. In any event I will bring a rod with me which you can use free of charge during your lesson.

For lunch, you can either bring your own or eat in one of the cafes in town. Alternatively, Kendall's Butchers on High Street sells excellent pork pies! If you let me know beforehand what you intend to do I'll follow suit.

Important: Please note that you will need an Environment Agency rod licence (coarse and non-migratory trout rod licence, currently £6 for a day ticket) available from any Post Office or online (https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences). Failure to have a rod licence may result in prosecution with a maximum fine of £2500 and a criminal conviction; please ensure you have a rod licence before starting to fish.

For insurance purposes, I'm currently obliged to share my risk assessment with you - this contains special precautions owing to CV-19 on the final page (see below). Please bring hand sanitiser for your own use.
